Longbourn- Jo Baker ~ Extremely engrossing read!!

Very happy that an author whose work and research I value listed this in her list of good books read in 2104.I read this far into the night sometimes as it was a new period and type of characters for me and I wanted to figure it all out. What an intriguing book for me!

Sarah, the heroine, and the other characters all eventually were shown to be connected to each other in some fashion. It is not necessary to be a Jane Austen fan to enjoy or understand this tale of a long ago period of history, although perhaps I may think about more?

Recommended to anyone who likes accurate period detail and fine writing of any time period.
